Midwest Fall 2017 Update

Hello from the Midwest!

This fall we’ve stayed busy as we’ve continued getting young people outside and on the water! Connections to our beloved city and its green spaces are what we’re after, and through September and October we paddled weekly at Lake Nokomis. These evenings have consisted of time on the water building paddling skills, but also importantly enjoying beautiful Nokomis on a fall day. On the colder days we’ve been bringing agencies to Vertical Endeavors Minneapolis location, whose staff have been exceptionally helpful in providing us with time and space to develop skills and try new things. Many of our students are brand new to a BCM experience. Now that the colder weather has come and looks like it’s here to stay we’ve moved more indoors: setting up plans for expeditions, 2018! After a successful 2017 season, and a strong finish this fall, we’re looking forward to expanding partnerships and programming for 2018.
