Mt. Hood
Standing at 11,240’ above the mighty Columbia River, Mt. Hood offers something for everyone from the aspiring alpinist to the experienced mountaineer. An ascent of Mt. Hood via the Southside Route is an entry-level technical climb requiring the use of ice axe and crampons over glaciated terrain. This program is geared for folks with little to no previous mountaineering experience, although a high degree of physical fitness is necessary. With a Steep Snow Climbing Course included on the first day, you’ll be ready for your summit attempt on day 2. Guided by Timberline Mountain Guides.
