Travel Days

wilderness days
Weather conditions range from low 40s at night to mid 90s during the day. Layered clothing is a must. Snow and sleet are possible on backpacking trips.
- 1 full size backpack (internal or external frame ok)
- 1 pack cover or heavy-duty plastic bag
- 1 tent for every 2 or 3 adults (This will be worked out among Team Members)
- 1 sleeping bag
- 1 sleeping pad
- 1 pair hiking boots (rugged tread, good fit, well broken-in boots strongly recommended)
- 1 pair of spare shoes or water shoes for around camp and for all canoe trips
- 3-5 pair socks and liners
- Underwear (number personal choice)
- 1 each long underwear top & bottoms
- 1 swimsuits
- 1-2 sports bra for women
- 1 pair shorts (nylon dries faster than cotton)
- 1 pair long pants (NO jeans)
- T-shirts (number personal choice)
- 1 long-sleeve shirt
- 1 light weight sweater or fleece
- 1 heavy wool sweater, fleece or heavy jacket
- 1 waterproof windbreaker & bottoms or poncho
- 1 wool or fleece cap
- 1 sun visor/cap
- 1 pair gloves
- 2 bandanas
- Personal care items (travel size is best)
- Travel size packet of Wet Wipes
- Prescriptions
- Lip protection
- Sunscreen
- Foot powder
- Insect repellent, small non aerosol
- 1 very small flashlight and/or headlamp
- 1 cup, 1 spoon, 1 bowl (durable plastic)
- 2 Nalgene water bottles
- 1 small towel
- Compass
- Trekking poles
- Map
- Sunglasses
- Optional: Fishing rod, camera, binoculars, notebook/pen
