Team Member ApplicationBig City Mountaineers is always looking for qualified, positive adult role models to fill our needs as adult leaders. We offer eight-day high adventure trips, as well as shorter excursions in some locations. Our backpacking trips take place throughout the US and may take you as high as 12,000 feet above sea level, depending on the trip location. As a BCM Team Member, you will be expected to hike up to eight miles per day, gaining as much as 3,000 feet of elevation while working with youth who may have never experienced the outdoors. You need to be prepared to handle the tough parts of the day in a positive manner so the youth learn how to handle their own obstacles with confidence. You are expected to bring your own backpacking gear (please refer to the packing list if you have questions regarding gear). Eight-day trip participants are also expected to pay a volunteer fee of $100 to help cover the direct cost of the trip. To download a volunteer application, click here.
