Change a Life
Big City Mountaineers programs change how inner-city youth see themselves in the world. But we can’t do it alone.
In 2010, Big City Mountaineers will serve youth in the San Francisco Bay Area, Denver, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis and Chicago. BCM created a campaign called Change a Life in 2005 to bring volunteers, donors, Youth Agency staff and other caring adults together as a way to raise money to get more inner-city teens into the wilderness.
In the last five years, the Change a Life campaign has brought in over $60,000. This means teens can attend BCM expeditions for FREE and Youth Agencies typically pay only $100 to enroll with us!
In 2010, KEEN has committed to match up to $20,000 and we need your help to get there! Visit the site below to learn more or make a donation on behalf of inner city teens.
If every volunteer raises $100 this summer we will bring in $40,000 . That means 600 more nights under the stars.
